“To provide adequate space for worship, discipleship
and fellowship for God’s Harvest of present and future generations.”

Initially, the Harvest Vision was cast to replace Meeting House #8 (MH8) which was constructed in 1941. It had served the body well, but time had taken its toll, and deterioration made it no longer adequate to meet the needs of the membership. The church agreed to finance $500K of the $1.475M cost of Meeting House #9 (MH9). Demolition of MH8 began in October 2014. MH9 was completed in time for the initial service to be held on Homecoming, September 20, 2015. A second phase of the Vision was agreed upon by the body in 2020 to renovate the Fellowship Hall, which was originally constructed in 1995. The goal of the renovation was to remove the stage and baptistery to allow for more seating and an enlarged kitchen, repurposing the building for current needs. The cost was estimated to be $300K, so the balance of the original Vision loan was refinanced in August 2020, with the revovation completed in 2021. Praise the Lord, as of January 2025 the first two phases were paid in full, and Sandy Creek was debt free. The journey continues, as a third phase is being proposed.

The goal of the phase 3 proposal is to provide a facility that will meet the growing needs of the body, as current ministries are space-locked and restricted on options for activities.

The proposed FLC would serve multiple purposes, for example:
Discipleship - Classroom space for teens and adults, enhanced space for VBS, AWANAs, and other ministry-related events.
Fellowship - Space for large gatherings of various sorts, providing ample room for children and teens to run and play.

The diagram is for visual purposes only, and is not a final plan. As drawn, the plan is
approximately 11,636 square feet. At a cost of $200/sf, total equals $2,327,200.

The work is not done. Sensing a need for space, the body approved a Harvest Vision Team to determine the extent of the need, and to prepare a proposal that would meet the need. The Team is proposing a step forward in faith, with the goal of providing a Family Life Center (FLC) that would have 4 classrooms, a kitchen, a storage area, bathrooms, a full-court basketball court, and ideally a walking track. The Finance Team has formulated a faith-based plan that would allow construction to begin in 8-9 years, for a facility that would currently cost approximately $2M. Harvest Vision Balance (as of July 28, 2026)
