~ Definition & Purpose ~
The call of God on this people called Sandy Creek to provide adequate space for worship, discipleship, and fellowship for God’s Harvest of present and future generations.

~ Phase 1 ~
Initially, the Harvest Vision was cast to replace Meeting House #8 (MH8) which was constructed in 1941. It had served the people well, but time had taken its toll, and deterioration made it no longer adequate to meet the needs for the membership.
So, the Harvest Vision was approved by a vote of the people, and efforts to raise funds ensued.
The recommendation was made by the Finance Committee to have a “First Fruits” Thanksgiving Meal. The church provided the meal and members were requested to bring a sacrificial offering to help fund the Vision. God provided more than $47,000 at that meal and it was a confirmation from the Lord that the Vision was from Him.
The annual Harvest Vision Thanksgiving Meal continues, allowing members to bring their sacrificial gifts, and the Lord has provided faithfully.
The Harvest Vision Valentine’s Dinner was initiated in 2008, which was for both membership and the community to enjoy a steak or chicken dinner, served on a donation basis. Proceeds in 2008 were designated for a Bride/Cry Room to be named in memory of Donna Routh Isley, who passed away in June 2007 at the age of 47. Donna grew up attending Sandy Creek and loved the church dearly. The Lord provided more than $27,000 that initial dinner and the dinners grew into an annual event.
Sandy Creek has received overwhelming support from the membership and the community each of the 18 years, and the Lord has provided in abundance.
The church agreed to finance $500K of an estimated $1.475M cost to construct Meeting House #9 (MH9).
The final worship service in MH8 was Homecoming, September 21, 2014, with Pastor Emeritus Dr. Carl K. Garner preaching. Demolition of MH8 began in October 2014.
MH9 was completed in time for the initial service to be held on Homecoming, September 20, 2015.

~ Phase 2 ~
A second phase of the Harvest Vision was agreed upon by the body in 2020 to renovate the Fellowship Hall, which was originally constructed in 1995, complete with a kitchen, three classrooms stage, baptistery, and a large seating area for fellowship or worship.  The need for worship space was no longer relevant, so the purpose of the renovation was to remove the stage and baptistery to allow for more seating and an enlarged kitchen. The cost was estimated to be $300K, so the original Harvest Vision loan was refinanced in August 2020.
The renovation was completed in October 2021 and serves the body well.
Praise the Lord, as of January 2025 the first and second phases of the Vision were paid for, and Sandy Creek was debt free.

~ Phase 3 ~
The work is not done. The Lord continues to send a harvest and there is a renewed need for additional space.
A third phase of the Harvest Vision is being considered and the Lord is calling this people called Sandy Creek to respond in faith.
The age demographic is overwhelmingly healthy at Sandy Creek with a strong percentage of the body being “Creek Kids,” ages birth – 5th grade. The Lord has entrusted His people with a flock that needs tending, faithfully providing each step along the way.
A Harvest Vision team is in place and gathering information, as they seek the Lord's will for a possible Phase 3.
